A citation signed by Mr B. K. Gyasi, Director in Charge of Finance and Administration of MoFA, and delivered to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Tuesday said: “The two Ministries appreciate your continuous support for the event and remain forever grateful”.

“Please accept the compliments of the Chairman and Members of the World Food Day National Planning Committee for your wonderful coverage of the event”, it continued.

The World Food Day is celebrated on October 16 to raise public awareness about hunger challenges and encourage people worldwide to take action in the fight against hunger.

This year’s celebration was on the theme: “Social Protection and Agriculture: Breaking the cycle of rural poverty”.

The Ghana News Agency is the largest news gathering and dissemination organisation in the country with more than fifty major subscribers including, print, broadcast and online media.

It was established on March 5, 1957 to counter the biased and distorted news in the Western Media; project the African personality; promote national cohesion and overall national development.
