Pepsi wants the King of Pop to remain the king of pop — literally. Michael Jackson will be resurrected to sell Pepsi cola as part of its (ahem) “Live for Now” advertising campaign that took 10 months of negotiation with the Jackson estate. Jackson’s hair famously caught on fire while filming a commercial for the beverage company in 1984, and the incident is believed to have triggered his addiction to painkillers.

Now Pepsi plans on slapping his image on special-edition cans and remixing his hits as part of the promotion. If Paris, Blanket and Prince benefit, great, but it seems weird to posthumously team MJ with a brand that was linked to much of his pain.
