Kotoko Midfielder Helegbe Eyes Double This Season

Kotoko midfielder Michael Helegbe wants to win the double for the club this season.

The 27-year-old has been a key figure for the Porcupine Warriors this term with swash-buckling displays.

The ex-Liberty Professionals enforcer was at his usual best on Sunday for the club as they coasted to a 3-1 win over Amidaus Professionals to advance to their second successive MTN Fa cup finals in three years.

The former Ghana Under-23 star says he wants to cap an incredible season by winning the double for the fans.

?It has been amazing playing for this great club. It was not easy at the initial stages but I have fit into the club,? Helegbe told Happy FM

?I really want to win the double for the supporters. They have been amazing.

?We know it?s not going to be easy but we have what it takes to win the double.

?The League is far from over but with two matches, I believe we can hold our own against Ashantigold and Amidaus again.

?It?s a great feeling to be in the FA Cup finals and I believe we can win the cup and the league for our fans.

Helegbe has been sensational since joining the club last year.
