SC Medeama progressed to the next round of the 2014 CAF Confederations Cup on a 4-2 aggregate after a slim 2-1 loss to Maghreb Fez away in Morocco on Saturday evening.

After a comfortable 3-0 victory for Medeama at home last Sunday, the Moroccan side threw everything into the return encounter and after much effort, they finally managed to break the deadlock in the 39th minute through Senegalese striker Alassane Diallo.

But just three minutes from recess, Medeama restored parity through a Michael Helegbe?s deflected effort.

On the 80th minute, Diallo got his second goal of the game to restore the Moroccans one goal lead.

That, however, was not enough to save his side from an early elimination.

Medeama, thus, progresses to the next round on a 4-2 aggregate.
