A man suspected to have killed and buried his wife at Denu-Aflao in the Volta region of Ghana is in the grips of the police.

Mr. Sogodo Akpaliga allegedly killed his 55-year-old wife called Solomeh Samey and buried her on his coconut farm. Her remains were uncovered by the combined efforts of the police and the family of the deceased after searching for days.

The Aflao District Police Commander, Superintendent Emmanuel Odonkor, confirmed the incident to Citi News and hinted that the suspect Mr Akpaliga will be processed for court after the autopsy.

He said: “She was found in a coconut farm, very close to the suspect’s premises, just about 35 meters away.

“We are holding him responsible for certain information that came up during police investigations. Certainly when investigations prove otherwise, we will revise the charges. ”
