In this day and age, we expect that people should be accustomed to seeing bi-racial couples and children. But sometimes, people show their ignorance and remind us that there is still a lot of hate in the world. In a London train station, a woman was with her bi-racial baby. A black man in the station apparently didn?t like what he saw, and he then proceeded to grab the woman?s hair, knocking her to the ground.

The horrible incident happened at Walthamstow Central train station. The infant suffered a broken collar bone as his mother was attacked and they were both taken to the hospital. Making matters even worse, the suspect was not captured at the scene of the crime. Police are asking the public for help in finding the suspect and showing video surveillance whenever they can.

?We know it was a racist attack because of what the mother reported the man as saying. He was commenting on the color of the child?s skin which he was saying was slightly lighter in color that the mother?s?, said a British Transport Police spokesperson.

The baby was just two years old, barely able to survive his injuries.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Gerry Hughes told the UK Daily Mail: ?When the train arrived at Highams Park station, the victim left the train with her pushchair. She was assaulted by the man, who pulled her hair, dragging her to the ground along with the pushchair. The man then made off from the scene. The victim was left understandably shocked but uninjured.

Her son was taken to hospital where he was diagnosed with a fractured collar bone. He was later discharged from hospital. ?This was an unspeakable attack on a mother and son, and we are determined to find the man responsible. I?d urge anyone who has any information into the incident, or recognises the man pictured, to come forward and assist officers in this investigation.?
