Lumovi Adzia and Sylvia Adzia in hospital bed

LUMOVI ADZIA, a 40-year-old man who attempted to murder his wife Sylvia Adzia, is being looked for by the Volta Regional Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVSSU) of the Ghana Police Service.

He is reported to have attacked Sylvia on the farm on Friday, August 24, 2012 while they were harvesting tomatoes at about 2:30pm during a misunderstanding.

Lumovi severed both hands of the wife and inflicted several deep wounds on her head, leaving her unconscious.

The suspect fled the scene, leaving no traces of his whereabouts.

The Ho DOVVSU has since secured a bench warrant from a Ho Magistrate Court for his arrest.

Sylvia has also been on admission at the regional hospital in Ho, where she lay in critical condition.

The Volta Regional DOVVSU is appealing to people who might have come in contact with the suspect to cause his arrest or inform the nearest police station.

Lumovi is chocolate in complexion and is about 5.6 feet tall with a tribal mark on his left cheek.

He bends slightly when walking and is slim in stature.

He is suspected to be hiding in Aflao, Ziope, Tafi near Have and Hohoe, all in the Volta Region or somewhere in the Republic of Togo.
