Norway-based striker Mahatma Otoo says Ghana coach Avram Grant has played a pivotal role in his career growth.

Otoo stayed with relegated Sogndal and helped them to make a quick return to the Eliteserien.

With 11 goals to his credit, Otoo has been influential in Sogndal qualification from the Division 1 with three matches to the end of the season.

The former Hearts of Oak captain is grateful to Black Stars coach Grant for his motivational talks.

?He is a good coach. He always advises me. I remember he always came to my room to talk to me during the Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea,? he told Asempa FM.

?He sometimes calls me on the phone to advise me. He is a good adviser and a very good coach.?
