President John Mahama has condemned the ?rampant? murders in various parts of the country. This impunity must stop,? he said Friday January 16, 2015, adding: ?And I am asking the police to investigate and deal very firmly with the perpetrators of these act,? he ordered when the family of Peter Kojo Kenyesu briefed him on the funeral arrangements of the late Nkwanta-South District Chief Executive (DCE).

Kenyesu was killed by gunfire on November 3, 2014 at his residence.

?We want to stop this kind of impunity, it?s becoming too rampant,? the President condemned.

?It happened with the DCE of Kanyesu. Then also the late chief of Bimbilla was attacked in his palace and murdered.

?It happened in Seikwa: the chief of Seikwa was shot in the evening and then even recently in Kumasi a businessman has also just been shot,? Mahama listed.

He, therefore, tasked the Inspector General Police (IGP) to ensure that all the perpetrators in those killings are brought to justice.
