DSP REYNOLDS Manteaw, Tema Community 1 District Crime Officer, has confirmed the arrest of Clifford Dziwornu Agbleze, a hotel manager, who allegedly shot and killed his close pal, Arimi Issah, in front of Vienna City Night Club at Tema Community 8 a couple of weeks ago.

Clifford Dziwornu AgblezeAccording to the Crime Officer, Clifford, the manager of Macbaron Hotel in Tema, was arrested in Ho in the Volta region where he was believed to be hiding after committing the crime.

DSP Manteaw told this paper that the suspect was being prepared to be put before the law court.

The suspect, according to the Crime Officer, was arrested on November 29, 2012 and subsequently transferred to the Community 1 District Police Station, a day after his arrest.

Clifford, on the night he allegedly killed his friend, was reported to have fired several warning shots in front of the night club after a male bystander supposedly hit the boot of his unregistered grey Citroen as he arrived at the entertainment centre.

The suspect, who was angry over the incident, walked over to the bystander and warned him not to hit his car again.

DSP Manteaw said it is unclear when Arimi arrived at the club, but he was said to have walked to the driver?s side of Clifford?s car to calm him down following his earlier confrontation with the bystander. However, the suspect shot his friend as he walked away from the vehicle and sped off.

Arimi was rushed to a health facility in the area but was pronounced dead on arrival. The incident was later reported to a police patrol team which later conveyed Arimi?s corpse to the Police Hospital in Accra. He has since been buried in line with Islam practice.

Some residents of the area told the paper the suspect, who was also a ?pimp?, often pulled pistols on persons who offended him.

According to reports, Clifford allegedly sneaked into this country after committing a similar offence in the United States of America recently.
