Tanzania Ambassador to the United States, Ms Mwanaidi Maajar

Following the success of last year`s inaugural Discover Tanzania VIP Safari, Tanzania’s ambassador to the US Mwanaidi Maajar, plans again to lead a group of business executives from North America to explore Tanzania’s business and investment opportunities mid this year.

Revealing this in Dar es Salaam recently, Maajar said the annual VIP business and leisure safari will take place between June 22 and July.

She said the business executives would come from US’ famous companies.

While in Tanzania, she said, the group would attend two exclusive dinners, one in Dar es Salaam with President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete as guest of honor, and another in Zanzibar where Isles President Dr Ali Mohamed Shein, would grace the event.

According to Maajar, the trip would begin in Arusha Region, traditionally the springboard of Tanzania’s renowned national parks, with a brief city tour and meets-with-the-city’s influential businesspersons.

The business executives and managing directors would tour Lake Manyara, a concentrated park whose main attraction is the legendary tree-climbing lions.

Besides, they would get a chance to experience the world-acclaimed Ngorongoro Crater, the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” and home to over 30,000 animals that are supported within its ecologically rich environments before flying to the Selous Game Reserve in the southern part of the country, to explore the rugged wilderness and its inhabitants.

Also the group would participate in VIP activities on the opening day of ‘Saba Saba’, Tanzania’s premier international trade fair, including an opportunity to network with the Tanzanian business community.
