Lynncare Foundation, a child-centered Non-Profit Organization in Ghana, has donated items worth of over thousand Ghana Cedis to the Teshie Children’s Home.

The Foundation also in collaboration with Barack Media Consult, under their Doctor’s Care initiative, screened the children at the facility of some major ailments.

The gesture was part of the Foundation’s one year anniversary celebration.

In an interview with Linda Dadson, Founder of LynnCare Foundation, she indicated that, the proper upbringing and development of the vulnerable especially children, in the society was a shared and collective responsibility, hence the position taken by the Foundation to commit itself to helping needy children in society.

She said with the donation and others from other like-minded organizations, and the support of everyone, the inmates could be trained to become national assets but not liabilities.

She appealed to managers of the Home to love the inmates as their own children and promised to frequently extend a helping hand so as to bring smiles onto the faces of the children.

Linda Dadson also indicated that, the donation and the screening are in line with the Foundation’s vision of providing health and educational care to children in deprived communities, with the view that children are the most vulnerable in society.

“We at LynnCare believe that whatever positive impact we make in the lives of these children will help build a better society tomorrow. Owing to this, Lynncare foundation has been involved in series of programs organized for children in deprived communities. We provide them with free medical care from screening, diagnosis and treatment at no cost. We donate food, clothes, and educational materials to children in deprived communities,” she said.

Doing the donation of items including clothing, tins of Milo and milk, varieties of non-alcoholic beverages, biscuits, and toiletries, Linda Dadson believes these items are important in the upbringing of children and that the more these items are provided for them, the more they know they are loved.

She appealed to other likeminded organizations, individuals, and philanthropists to endeavor to give to these children at all times and also called for support for her Foundation to be able to continue in the spirit of making the world a better place for the underprivileged children.
