Jordan Ayew has insisted he will join Villa

Ghana attacker Jordan Ayew has furiously insisted he will move to Aston Villa despite French Ligue 1 side Lorient rejecting their ?12 million bid for him.

The 23-year-old flew into the UK with his father Abedi Ayew Pele on Friday to discuss personal terms after Villa submitted a bid of around ?9 million for a player and held a meeting with Lorient Sporting Director Christophe Le Roux and Vice-President Alex Hayes.

But the French outfit turned down the offer insisting Villa must up their bid to ?12 million, a demand which has infuriated the Ghana attacker.

Despite Lorient?s decision, the former Olympique Marseille forward has insisted he will join Villa as he has already arrived in the UK.

It is finished for me, they bought me for ?5m and they are blocking me. Today, I am in Brimingham, I am on my way to Aston Villa. Nothing will change my decision. I told them: ?But why do you want to keep me at this point?? I won?t forget that last season, I did not play a single pre-season match and that I was quite badly criticised at the beginning of the season, but nobody at the club defence me.

Members of staff would apparently reply by saying: ?It is the President who bought him.? Also, my whole family wants to go to England
