The London Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with UK Trade & Investment North West Business are bringing a trade mission to Ghana today Thursday May 16, 2013.

The team’s mission is part of their commitment to help LCCI member develop international trade in new emerging markets and encourage more UK exporters to do business in Ghana.

The team is being led by Chuka Umunna MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.

Sources at UK Trade and Investment department at UK High Commission in Accra said during the the visit the team is expected to meet other Ghanaian business groups in order to establish cordial relationship.

They will also take the opportunity to share some investment ideas with their Ghanaian counterparts. They will also visit some UK companies operating in the country to ascertain their level of performances.

The Chamber of Commerce is a hugely influential organization, widely recognized as the Voice of London Business.?It remains an independent, not-for-profit business support and networking organization that put the needs and interests of its members and stakeholders at the heart of everything it does.

Companies included on this mission to Ghana are ?A to Z Export Limited, Belvalves Limited, Bourne International, ?CBS, Cood Resources UK Limited, Dumelow International Limited, ?Kwintessential, Marble Financials, Mount Laboratories, Roughton International Limited, Scott and Seargent, ThirtyEight London Limited, K4 Water Solutions, Manchester Business School, Schultz Healthcare, Thermo Fisher Scientific, WWB Recruitment, Zanza Specials International Limited, Cosbic Pre-University College and Business Consultancy Limited, and Clarke Energy.

The UK companies taking part in this trade mission deals in businesses like Trucks, Tractors, Valves, Promotional Merchandise and Gift Items, Credit Agencies, Commercial Finance, Translation services, Crude oil trading and petrochemical investment, Export Management, Woodworking machinery, Laboratory & Scientific equipment, Recruitment agencies, Business Education providers, and Waste and recycling equipment.
