Let’s Do It Ghana, a non-governmental organisation committed to environmental activities, has taken another giant step by partnering with the Decathlon, a sports oriented organisation to undertake a massive cleanup exercise at the Titanic beach on the Tema beach road.

This move was to create awareness towards the 15th September, 2018 World Clean Up exercise and also to instill the discipline of making sanitation an everyday thing.

Speaking at the cleanup, Abigail Dzamesi, the leader of Decathlon delegation was optimistic that making sanitation an everyday thing is possible however education and sensitization must be encouraged to inspire each and every one to take part in daily clean up exercises whether under supervision or not.

She called on all environs around the Tema, Nungua, Sakumono etc to join hands for an effective clean up at the Coco beach on 15th September, 2018.

Also present at the cleanup were some leaders and volunteers from Let’s Do It Ghana whose commitment attracted other people at the beach to join the cleanup.

The Country Leader Mrs Kate Opoku was excited about the commitment of various volunteers across the nation and called on the Ministry of Sanitation as well as stakeholders concerned with environmental issues to join the campaign to clean Ghana.

The World Clean Up is expected to take place across all communities in the Ghana and 150 countries across the world.
