Lawrence Nyanyo Nmai won his biggest fight at the Battle of Martial Arts Masters in far way Germany on Saturday, December 3, 2016 when he defeated Daniel Dorrer for the World Martial Arts Committee WMAC World Title, K1 86kg division.

Nmai, demonstrated that he is really good and committed to sports as a Kick Boxer and an Ambassador of Sports who will not let the nation down.

Some of the features and forms of the competition were Self Defence, Point Fight, Light Contact, Low Kick, Kick Light, Full Contact, Thai Boxing and Grappling.

Nmai who hails from La in Accra was voted SWAG Kick Boxer of the Year in 2012. He has been competing and coaching in Africa, Europe and Asia.

He said he used the contest as another opportunity to showcase Ghana as a sports nation.

Nmai who was in Ghana and trained seriously at the Accra Sports Stadium took this title fight very serious and trained very hard and promised to bring home the title.

He dedicated the title to President John Mahama and expressed that Ghana can make it in Martial Arts if the players are supported by the government and companies.

The Battle of Martial Arts Masters was held at Turnhalle, Adalbert-Stifter-Platz 1, 82166 Grafeling. Other international Martial Artists and Kick Boxers were featured.

Nii Saka aka Nii Adotey Dzata, President of the Ghana Kick Boxing Association congratulated him and said the belt will be taken to the office of the Presiden, HE John Mahama and the Ministry of Youth &Sports.

Meanwhile the Online Sports Journalists Union (OSJU) has commended Lawrence Nmai for his achievement on a weekend that involved other fights involving boxers, Richard Commey who lost in Russia and Emmanuel Tagoe who won the IBO world lightweight title.
