The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, in collaboration with the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), Switzerland, is hosting a breakfast meeting to formerly launch the findings of the research on Women on Boards in Ghana.

The topic of diversity in gender is timely as corporate governance reforms take a turn in Ghana. The essence of the research work was to gather data on women representation on boards in Ghana, the challenges faced by women in achieving leadership strides and how to increase gender diversity in corporate institutions.

We appreciate the role of the media in influencing a change in gender diversity in the board room. We are therefore pleased to extend an invitation to your outfit to provide media coverage on the most valuable ways to improve effectiveness of women in the board room, an emerging corporate governance practice around the world.

This initiative is one of the many interventions under IFC’s Africa Corporate Governance Program funded by SECO, which aims to strengthen corporate governance practices within Ghana. It will take place at the Alisa Hotels, Accra, on June 14, 2018, from 8:00 – 10:30am including breakfast.

We hope that you can join us, and we would be grateful if you could confirm your attendance with Ms. Marian Wiredu by phone (+233 302 214 600) or by e-mail (mwiredu@ifc.org).

We look forward to hearing from you.
