As part of the programme for the eightieh (80th) anniverssary celebrations of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, the Latter Rain Assembly of the church in Ashaiman Central District has visited the Accra Psychiatric hospital.

The church presented some assorted food items such as bag of rice, sugar and maize and loaves of bread. Other items included 40 pieces of toilet roll, 34 bars of key soap,40 pieces of Ameen soap, 15 balls of a ‘ Allata Samina’ and a cash of 200 Ghana cedis.

The local Women’s movement leader, Deaconess Elisabeth Cobbina presenting the items to the management of the hospital said, the gesture is in fufillment of their biblical social responsibility in accordance with Matthew 25:31-40.

Reading from Galatians 4:12-15, the former presiding elder of the local Assembly, Elder Abraham Tettey, added that they have a sincere heart for the hospital and that if it had been possible, the church would have pluked out her own eyes and have given them to the hospital.

The current presiding elder, Sam David prayed for the manifestation of God’s healing at the hospital.

The principal Nursing officer Mrs. Florence Blaggoge and the Deputy Director of Nursing Service, Mr. Emmanuel Pappoe receiving the items expressed their sincere gratitute to God and to the church and asked other people to emulate as they need more of those items to cater for patients.
