nana mahama

The late JB Danquah would have passionately rebuked President John Mahama over the persistent corruption in his government, the three-time flagbearer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo has said.

According to him, the late member of the ?Big Six? abhorred corruption in public service and wouldn?t have tolerated the current state of affairs in the country .

Addressing a memorial lecture on the 50th anniversary of the death of one of the NPP?s founding fathers in Accra Wednesday, the former attorney general said the former freedom fighter and poet would have disturbed President Mahama with his ?letters? over how terrible it is to misuse public finances.

?I wonder how Danquah would have felt about Woyome, Subah, GYEEDA and the many others happening under this government.

?I can say for certain that President John Mahama would be receiving a lot of his emails and letters on the need to safeguard the public purse, so as the finance minister,? he stated.
