Names three new permanent secretaries

Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa, in a statement released on Thursday, announced the appointment of Dr. Tafida Abubakar as the new Commissioner for Health.

He also appointed three new permanent secretaries.

Consequently, Lamido 

redeployed the former Commissioner for Health, Dr. Hassana Adamu, to the Ministry of Environment.

Abubakar served Jigawa in the same capacity between 2007 and 2009 before he resigned his appointment for undisclosed reasons.

Until his re-appointment, he was a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Aminu Kano University Teaching Hospital, Kano.

The new permanent secretaries are Abdullahi Hudu (Education); Alhaji Ahmed Dauda (Manpower and Training), and Muhammad Wasiu, who has been assigned to the Ministry of Land, Urban Development and Physical Planning.
