Speaking on the second day of the 11th graduation ceremony on Thursday, Kyambogo?s acting Vice Chancellor Prof Eli Katunguka also said the university will soon start erecting a new library, laboratories and lecture theatres with the sh72b being received from government.

Kyambogo?s school of management is finalizing setting up a state of the art computer laboratory with 135 work stations.
?This will enable students to get hands-on skills, facilitate teaching and students? learning. The computer laboratory for graduate students is also going to be equipped with state of the art facilities,? said Katunguka.

In light of addressing the operational glitches at Kyambogo, the university council chairman Prof John Okedi said they had approved policies for quality assurance, information communication telecommunications, research and innovation, records and information management and human resource.

Kyambogo Chancellor Prof John Ssebuwufu said to elevate the university to continental premiership, staff and students should develop a culture of giving rather than always demanding.

On Thursday, Kyambogo graduated a total of 2,241 students from the faculties of Vocational Studies and Arts and Social Sciences.

At the end of the three day graduation ceremony on Thursday, Kyambogo would have presented Certificates, Diplomas, Bachelors and Masters Degrees to 7, 246 students (211 First Class Degrees).

Andrew Opio of Education, John Lubaale of Science and Albert Agaba of Engineering who tied at CGPA of 4.89 out of maximum 5.0 are the best graduands of Kyambogo this year.
