Reading unveil Kwesi Appiah Reading unveil Kwesi Appiah

Ghana striker Kwesi Appiah says he is eager to get his career at Reading to a flying start having completed his loan switch from Crystal Palace.

The 24-year-old was unveiled as a new signing of the Royals on Thursday.

Appiah joins Reading until the end of the season from Crystal Palace and is already eager to get started at his new club.

?I?m looking forward to it. I?m really excited and I can?t wait to get things started,? said the Palace loanee.

?The first day is obviously a bit nervy but once you have met all of the lads and the staff, you just crack on!

?Before signing, I spoke to Steve Clarke over the phone and he has got some bright ideas and things that I can see myself buying into.

?I?m looking forward to working with him and everyone that I have spoken to has given good recommendations. I?m very happy with that.?

?There?s not too much of the season left but, in the little time that I do have here, I just want to do the best I can, put in some good performances, score some goals and hopefully be happy.

?Every game is a tough test; especially in the Championship where you are competing in one of the toughest divisions in the world.

?I?m looking forward to it and hopefully I can stake a claim for match time. Coming off the back of international duty, it?s nice to take some momentum into club football and I?m really looking forward to my opportunity at Reading.?
