A 42-year old self-styled surveyor, has been fined GHc240 for allegedly defrauding Madam Mary Kenya, pastor in charge of the Twelve Apostles Church at Fanti Mines, near Aboso.

Kwadwo Acquah, the accused person, pleaded guilty.

Prosecuting, Detective Chief Inspector Oscar Amponsah, told the court, presided over by Mr. Samuel Obeng Diawuo that on April 9, around 1030 hours, Acquah approached Madam Kenya and pleaded with her to assist him with GHC500 to bail a friend who had been detained by the police.

The prosecutor said after collecting the money, Acquah went into hiding.

On April 16, the accused person was involved in another fraud and was detained by the Aboso Police.

, Madam kenya heard of the incident and went to the station and identified Acquah as the one who defrauded her.

The judge ordered the accused person to refund the 500 Ghana cedis to the pastor, or in default serve six months imprisonment. GNA
