Music has been used to bolster a variety of good causes around the world and it would be the turn of singer Kwabena Kwabena and a collection of some of his friends to resort to music in an effort to save hearts.

The popular Aso singer has rallied a posse of known names for his  Save A Life concert slated for  Saturday, October 19 at the State House Banquet Hall in Accra.

They are Samini, OJ, Efya, Funny Face, Joojo, Okyeame Kwame, Stella Seal, Sarkodie and Becca. The concert is meant to  raise funds for patients suffering from heart diseases at the National Cardiothoracic Centre (NCC).

Gospel act Stella Seal, known for hit songs like Gye Mi Taataa, Okura Yenmu, Abenmanmuand Daadaa Nyinaara, told Showbiz she was more than prepared for Saturday?s concert.

?Everyone should expect a good performance from me on the night. The Save A life concert is a good initiative and I feel proud to be part of that worthy cause,? she said.

Stella Seal described Dr. Lawrence A. Sereboe, Director of the National Cardiothoracic Centre (NCC) as a good friend so she didn?t hesitate at all when Kwabena Kwabena invited her on board.

Oware Junior, better known as O.J, said he would be give patrons at the concert what they expect from him. According to him, he would perform some of his known songs.

?I know which songs from my repertoire would hit the audience and I would render them beautifully,? says O.J.

He stated that anyone could be affected by a heart disease so he thought it would be prudent to support Kwabena Kwabena for the project.

Apart from O.J?s reigning Maye Se Mo Pen hit, he has other catchy tunes like Meho Nyinaa, Apor Yesu, MehiaWo , Tete Botan, Onyame Ayebi, Etesen, Obi Nya Waye, Kosoa Na Kosoand Se Me Bue Manoa.

Sarkodie?s management team told Showbiz the artiste was busily rehearsing for the concert. Sammy Forson, who spoke on behalf of Sarkodie, said the rap star would perform at least six of his well-known songs.

According to him, Sarkodie has a foundation which caters for the needs of children so his team accepted the invitation to be on the bill without hesitation.

?Kwabena Kwabena and Sarkodie are good friends so it is a step in the right direction for him to step up in support of a pal,? Forson added.

Last week, Afriyie (formerly of Wutah) and Okyeame Kwame expressed unflinching support for Kwabena Kwabena and the Save A Life project.
