Kwabena Boakye scored 34 points to win the maiden HFC Bank Invitational Golf Championship played at the Tema country Golf Course on Saturday.
wpid-golf.jpgHe was followed by S.K, Ayornu with 33 points while Albert Asiedu Offei placed third with 32 points.
In the Ladies segment, Margaret Anderson came first with 35 points while Pamela Amoah who won the Ladies Longest Drive, placed second with 33 points.
In the Men’s Group B, Joseph Nettey came first with 41 points, James Otoo placed second with 36 points while Francis Quartey placed third with 35 points with Cherie Hammond won the Ladies Group B encounter with 33 points.
About 100 golfers took part in the one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition sponsored by the bank.
Mr Noel Hammond, Captain of the Tema Country Golf Club praised the bank for sponsoring the competition and expressed the hope that the bank would continue to assist the club in its developmental programmes.
Mr Asare Akuffo, Managing Director of the Bank gave the assurance that the bank would make the competition an annual affair.
Nana Adjei Duku, Board Chairrman of the bank was assisted by the captain to present prizes to the winners.
