GFA Presidential debate

Leading candidate in the GFA Presidential race Kurt Okraku performed creditably at the presidential debate held on Monday at the Physicians and Surgeons Hall at Ridge as he demonstated his deep understanding of football and appreciation of the challenges of the game.

The University of Ghana and Liverpool graduate wowed audience and the football public with his pragmatic plans and policies for the governance of the game when he voted into office.

The Dreams FC CEO rolled out plans for the revival of colts and women football as well as pragmatic strategies to sanitize the football system on corrupt practices.

The seasoned administrator’s policies and ideas for the forward-match movement of Ghana football which appear simple and feasible was periodically tapped in by other candidates at the debate, affirming his apt understanding of the industry.

His strategy of establishing game centers for colts and women football was applauded by all and some of the candidates were spotted nodding their heads in agreement with his plans.

Developing a software for the appointment and rating of referees was also endorsed, particularly, by Nana Yaw Amponsah, one of the candidates contesting for the GFA top job.

Kurt, a former Administrative Manager of Accra Hearts of Oak and the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) had revealed that his administration will ensure a special software is designed for the appointment and rating of referees which was swiftly jumped on by Nana Yaw Amponsah who did not mince words saying he will implement the same strategy to deal with match officials to reduce corruption.

Kurt, who looked loaded with too much knowledge and information about the game looked unsatisfied with the 3 minutes allotted to address a main point and 30 seconds for a rebuttal considering his answers and responses to all questions directed to him and as well as rebuttals.

The event, according to organizers, has come to stay and subsequent GFA presidential elections will certainly have the debate segment before delegates go to the poll.
