Following harassment by squatters and drug pushers (particularly wee smokers) against residents of Kwadaso, a suburb of Kumasi, the police at Kumasi Sofoline led by their hardworking boss, DSP Vitus Napeng have declared war on drug pushers by uprooting them from the area.

In an exclusive interview with the Moment, DSP Vitus Napeng said his outfit has put a lot of strategies in place to curb the level of violence perpetrated against traders and commuters would flush them out from the area.
The Police boss averred that they have already started their operations to raid them from the area as they have swoop on them despite the fact that some of them managed to escape through deep erosion way.

DSP Napeng these criminals have managed to build small structures as their operational points at Bolakesie adding that while they are hardly to be arrested with regards to the deep erosions but hinted that they will soon undertake operations to remove structures apparently to scare these dangerous criminals.
The Police boss said they areusing new strategy to halt the activities of these criminals from the area to ensure that residents enjoy freedom of movement.

According to DSP Vitus Napeng, his outfit has arrested some culprits and has been referred to the Narcotic Unit of the Ashanti Regional Police Headquarters for action since their outfit has no authority to take action about cases pertaining to narcotics.

In collaboration with Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to stop these criminals from the area, DSP Napeng charged residents to volunteer information to the police for action since their identities would be kept in secret.
