Asante Kotoko SC

Mr Oppong Kwaku Evans, Public Relation Officer (PRO), of Aduana Stars Football Club, has described matches against Kumasi Asante Kotoko, as “tricky and tough”, due to the long standing rivalry between the two sides.

Speaking in an interview with the GNA Sports, Mr. Evans said, they hope to break the jinx this time, by beating Kotoko at their home ground for the first time, after suffering losses and draws in Kumasi.

Mr. Evans said, although the appearance fee for the competition had not been received by the club, they would participate in the competition.

The PRO stated that management had given the green light for caretaker coach WO Tandoh to take the team through the competition.

On the exit of Abdul Rashid from the team’s camp, he said the player showed up with an apology letter to management.

He said after the game management would decide on which action to take against him.
