Kristen Bell claims her voice sounds more manly since giving birth to her daughter, Lincoln, in March.

The ‘Veronica Mars’ actress claims her vocal cords have changed, dropping an octave since giving birth to her daughter, Lincoln, in March.

She told People magazine: “The pregnancy did change my voice. It made it deeper. There were more womanly tones when I did one recording while I was extremely pregnant.

“After I had the baby, I had to go back and re-record those lines so they matched. There was something different about my voice.”

The 38-year-old star is still unsure why her voice changed so drastically, but has written it off as one of the mysterious changes hormones can have on a pregnant woman.

Kristen explained: “There was something more ‘Mommy’ about my voice and we had to fix it. I certainly didn’t intend that, and when you heard it, you couldn’t really place why it was different but it was.

“It was one of those hormonal things that happen, I guess.”

The blonde and her husband, Dax Shepard, have been busy adjusting to parenthood over the last few months and Kristen loves seeing the actor fawn over their daughter.

Kristen gushed: “It is amazing to see him with her. To have something alive that is part of both of us is a really lovely feeling.”
