KP Boateng has incurred the wrath of Ghanaian fans

Aduana Stars Chief Manu Plans To Demonstrate Against Kevin Boateng?s Return To Black Stars

By Patrick Akoto

Aduana Stars chief Kofi Manu has launched a scathing attack on Kevin-Prince Boateng and plans to demonstrate against the potential inclusion of the Schalke midfielder if the Black Stars qualify to the World Cup in Brazil next year.

Boateng has not played for the Black Stars since he came out of international retirement in August.

He missed the country?s World Cup first leg play-off against Egypt on Tuesday due to injury, which followed his decision to pull out of the group D decider against Zambia in Kumasi over another claim the pitch was not good enough for him.

With the Black Stars just a game away from reaching Brazil next year, the Premier League Board member has started a campaign to exclude the 26-year-old should the West African powerhouse secure their ticket.

?If Coach Kwasi Appiah invites Kevin Prince Boateng I will stage one month demonstration in this country with others who will disagree with his invitation,? an angry Manu told Kumasi-based Sikka FM

?Before Ghana went to the World Cup for the first time in 2006 some of us almost went to prison when we wanted the FA to be independent to be able to take decisions on its own to help develop football in the country.

?That was the extent we went. What we have put in to get Ghana football to this level not even ministers of State or politicians can break us down.

?Least of all a mere player who chooses when and where to play and at what time he wants to play. I will not sit down for this to happen.?

Boateng shocked the entire nation when he called time on his international career after the 2010 World Cup in Brazil claiming combining both international and club duties was taken a toll on his health.

He rescinded his decision after several persuasions few months ago but seems to be playing hide and seek which has sparked fury among some local fans.

Boateng is set to return to Gelsenkirchen at the end of this week. Then a decision will be made as to whether he will be able to play in the upcoming Bundesliga match away to Eintracht Braunschweig.
