Asante Kotoko are ready to sanction the exit of midfielder Yahaya Mohammed even if it is to rival club Hearts of Oak.

The 24-year-old revealed he was prevented from taking a required medical by the club chairman because he has been sold to Hearts.

This comes on the heels of reports the player was making exorbitant demands in order to stay with the Premier League champions.

But Kotoko will not budge and say they are only prepared to work with committed players.

?Yaya (Mohammed) has expressed to us his desire to join Hearts and management is ready to sell him for the right offer not only to Hearts but any other team that requires his service,? Kotoko?s spokesman Listowell Yesu Bukarson told GHANAsoccernet.com.

?Dr K.K Sarpong (club chairman) believes in respect for any player?s view regarding his future and is therefore not ready to tie any player down.

?At this point in the history of Kotoko, where we have the league won last season to defend and also make a remarkable impression in Africa, we are prepared to work with only committed and focused players.

?It?s time for stakeholders of our club to note that, none is bigger than the club and that Kotoko first.

?Hearts have inquired of the availability of Yaya and once they meet the asking price we will release him without hitches.?

Mohammed who played in France for OGC Nice missed most parts of the last season through injury.
