In a dramatic penalty shootout after 120 minutes of football finished all-square, Korea Republic narrowly beat Colombia 8-7 in a 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup at the H?seyin Avni Aker Stadium on Wednesday night.

And the Korea Republic will feel justified by the result after a 94th minute goal from Juan Quintero saw them pegged back as the game finish 1-1 after full time.

The Korea Republic took an early lead through Song Juhun in the 16th minute and thereafter produced a comprehensive defensive display to keep Colombia at bay.

The South Americans, though, continued to press forward with a never say die attitude and they did eventually manage to find the equaliser with virtually the last kick of regular time.

As the match moved into extra time both sets of players were tiring and chances on goal were at a minimal. Instead, both teams looked happy to settle for the lottery of the penalty shootout.

And what an epic shootout it was as player after player slotted their penalty-kick.

Unfortunately for Colombia, Deivy Balanta was player to miss their kick as Korea Republic ran out 8-7 winners in the shootout.
