A group in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ketu South Constituency christened, ?NPP Antidote Team for Victory 2012? has been unveiled to improve the fortunes of the party in the forthcoming polls.

It has instituted programmes that would be aired on local radio stations to educate the electorate on the vision of the flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and explain the party?s manifesto.

Speaking to DAILY GUIDE, Peterson Midadje, the 2008 parliamentary candidate of the NPP and leader of the team disclosed that it had donated a number of gargantuan billboards to be erected across the constituency to boost the morale and electoral fortunes of the presidential candidate, Nana Akufo Addo and the parliamentary aspirant, Godwin Yayra Nkuawu, as well as strengthen the presence of the party in the area.

Midadje intimated that Nana?s plan to implement the free Senior High School (SHS) education was not a mere campaign promise but realistic and achievable idea that would definitely be implemented when Nana becomes the next president in January, 2013.

He called on the electorate to vote massively for the NPP in the December polls.

According to him, the team is passionate about eliminating fraud in the December polls, which he said should be conducted in a free, fair and violent free atmosphere.

He therefore called on the electorate to cast their ballot without fear of intimidation and appealed to all political parties to ensure that their supporters maintained peace before, during and after the elections.

The ?NPP Antidote Team for Victory 2012? stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC)?s days of glory in the Ketu South Constituency were over, observing that the time has come to break the myth surrounding the ?world bank? status of the NDC in the region.

Midadje disclosed that the formation of the team was informed by an appeal made by Nana Akufo Addo to party activists to find an antidote to the monopoly of the NDC in the region during one of his Volta Regional tours.
