Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi

Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi says he is not scared of facing the highly passionate fans even at the expense of his safety especially when things don’t go well.

The Japanese trainer is still in search of his first win since being appointed to coach the Phobians two months ago.

Some previous coaches of Hearts of Oak have endured the harsh response of the club’s passionate supporters in troubled times with the recent victim being Mohammed Polo.

Other sections of the club’s support base go to the extreme of charging on players, coaches and officials when results don’t go well.

But coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi insists he is ready to endure such harsh treatment from the fans, falling on a similar experience in his previous employment in Brazil.

“I am not scared and talking about the passionate fans, I have been in Brazil where there was a situation much worse than here, not only at the training grounds but a lot of supporters throw things at us during games,” Yatsuhashi told Accra based Starr FM.

“So I have been through this situation before but I believe that our supporters are intelligent enough to give us more time.

“G6 is the final phase of our preparations and we are not taking this like league games.

“The first league game is when we have to be ready.”
