Mutebi and his assistant Sam Ssimbwa signed three-year contracts with their new club.

They were unveiled by KCCA Executive Director Jennifer Musisi at City Hall, Kampala before putting pen to paper.

?We are coming to a club which has a strategic plan and our duty is to improve what has already been put in place.

?I would like to take this opportunity to thank our former coaches George Nsimbe and Abdallah Mubiru for the good work they have done as far as growing the project is concerned, so we are coming to fit in the club?s plan which we intend to improve,? said the new manager.

He said they will look at reinforcing the team so that they can achieve the set target, which is winning trophies.

?New project?

On working with Ssimbwa, Mutebi said he was looking forward to a cordial working relationship with ?my brother? and that there will be no conflict of interest between the two.

?Our philosophy will be coaching good football and winning matches but where we disagree we shall do it as mature people because you can?t avoid conflict in football because everyone now has an idea about the game.

?We are both coming back for the third time but we are coming home under different circumstances. Before we were serving KCC but now there is an authority and an executive director so everything is new including a budget. This is a new dispensation and a new project,? said Mutebi.

With a sh1.8bn budget from the authority and StarTimes (sh400m) at their disposal, executive director Jennifer Musisi said they were only hoping for the best from the two in their pursuit of a professionally-run club.

?We have started rebuilding our fan base and with these two legends that are well-known and very experienced, we hope they will take the team to the highest level in the country,? she said.

?We want to ask our fans and players to give them the necessary support.

?As management we are committed to develop professional football; that is why we have invested a lot in the football club,? said Musisi.
