Doctors at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) are threatening to embark on a strike if management do not act promptly in solving pertinent issues affecting their work and that of their numerous patients.

The aggrieved doctors cited lack of blood, oxygen and drugs at the emergency unit.

The doctors complained that they have resorted to cash and carry system at the facility, a situation they described as ‘problematic’.

About five patients recently lost their lives at the emergency unit due to lack of oxygen supply.

Ultimate news’ Isaac Bediako reported that management of KATH are expected to hold a crunch meeting with the aggrieved doctors on Wednesday.
