The Principal of the Center, Mr. Bernard B. Bananzi who made the appeal in an interview with Newsghana.Com pointed out that though successive governments have made some commitments to the development and welfare of the inmates of the Centre, he however stressed that that has not been enough since the Center lacks some social amenities for daily livelihood of the inmates.

Established in fulfillment of the United Nations Convention of the Right of the Child, over four thousand inmates have been reformed back into the society by the Center, according to the Principal.

He pointed out that the Center currently holds twelve inmates with some put into public schools and others learning vocational trades, all with scarce resources of the Center.
