KIEV — A huge fire and explosion on Tuesday at a fuel depot outside the Ukrainian capital of Kiev may have caused heavy casualties, authorities said.

SEOUL — South Korea’s health authorities are closely monitoring whether the third phase of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) epidemic would materialize as infectees were found in new hospitals.

MOSCOW — Top Chinese legislator Zhang Dejiang met here Monday with South African parliamentary leaders and called for closer cooperation between the two countries’ legislatures.

RAMADI, Iraq — At least nine security members were killed and over 15 wounded on Tuesday when two suicide bombers attacked a local government building in a town in Iraq’s western province of Anbar, a provincial security source said.
The attack occurred at noon when a suicide bomber blew up his explosive vest at the entrance of the government building in the town of Ameriyat al-Fallujah, some 40 km west of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity. (Iraq-Bombing) Enditem
