TEHRAN — The United States pushed the nuclear talks into deadlock with excessive demands, local Fars news agency quoted an Iranian diplomat in Vienna as saying on Thursday.

Western parties of the talks, especially the United States, have raised excessive demands beyond previous agreements with Iran, the Iranian diplomat said on condition of anonymity, accusing the western parties of playing “blame game” to pin the responsibility of possible failure on Iran, according to the report. BENGHAZI, Libya — A total of 14 Libyan army soldiers were killed and 62 others injured in clashes Wednesday between the Libyan national army and extremist groups in the eastern city of Benghazi, according to a medical source.
The source in Benghazi’s medical center confirmed the casualties, adding that 23 of the wounded have been transferred to Al-Jala hospital in the city. (Libya-Clash-Soldier)

ANKARA — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday gave mandate to ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) leader Ahmet Davutoglu to form a new government.

DAMASCUS — At least seven militants of the al-Qaida-linked Nusra Front were killed during airstrikes by the U.S.-led anti-terror coalition in northwestern Syria, a monitor group reported on Thursday.

The international coalition carried out at least five airstrikes overnight, some of which targeted a vehicle of one of the Nusra commanders on the road between the towns of Sarmada and Kafr-Daryan in the countryside of the northwestern province of Idlib, much of which have fell to the Nusra Front over the past few months.
