ANKARA — A total of 15 workers at a power plant in Turkey’s eastern Sirnak province were kidnapped by Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants Saturday Morning, only hours after Turkish warplanes bombed the group’s camps in Iraq late Friday, local Dogan News Agency reported.

BAGHDAD — At least eight people were killed and 40 others wounded on Saturday in bomb attacks in a town in Iraq’s northern central province of Salahudin, a local police source said.

ARISH, Egypt — The Egyptian armed forces killed 17 extremists during armed clashes on Saturday at Sheikh Zuweid city in the restive North Sinai bordering the Palestinian Gaza Strip and Israel, security forces told Xinhua.
