Journalist for Business Advocacy (JBA), was over the weekend honoured at the 4th Ghana Mining Industry Awards (GMIA).

The 4th GMIA, which coincided with the climax of the 90th Anniversary celebrations of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, was organised by the Ghana Chamber of Mines and Lindiwe Corporate Service, dubbed, “A responsible and sustainable mining industry; a partner for national development.”

Organized on Friday 30th November, 2018, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, JBA was honoured in recognition of their passionate advocacy in support of responsible corporate entities in the mining industry with objective fact-based journalistic work.

The citation was presented by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, Mr. Sulemanu Koney and was received by Suleiman Mustapha, President of JBA supported by his members.

In a sideline interview after receiving the citation, Suleiman Mustapha expressed their excitement and appreciation to the organizers especially the Ghana Chamber of Mines for the recognition and honour done on JBA for its objective fact-based journalistic work.

He indicated that, the honour was going to catalyze JBA’s work and also serve as a wake up call to other Journalists to work harder in their field of work.
