Black Stars Returnees Should Not Be Guaranteed Automatic Places- Je Sarpong

The quartet ? Andre and Jordan Ayew as well as Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng have made themselves available for 2014 World Cup group decider against Zambia.

While trio Andre and Jordan Ayew as well as Kevin Boateng have officially written to announce their return to the national team, Muntari has issued a grovelling apology to the Ghana FA over his tantrums during the Black Stars World Cup win at Lesotho in June.

Their return is expected to boost the side ahead of next month?s World Cup cracker against the Chipolopolo.

Even though the Ghanaian trainer is yet to announce his final squad for the massive showdown in Kumasi on September 6, there are speculations they could be drafted into the team for the BIG game.

But the veteran trainer does not want them to gain automatic places in the team.

?Their return to the team is a big boost. There is no doubt about that. But I don?t think they should gain automatic places in the team,? Sarpong told Happy FM

?Kwesi Appiah knows what he wants and I believe he will do the right thing.

?We should not forget that others have worked their sucks out and so it does not make football sense to just dispense with their services and go for these guys.

?But like I said the coach has the ultimate say in matters like these. But in my honest opinion, they should come and fight for a place in the team.?

Media reports have claimed Jordan Ayew and Sulley Muntari have been dropped for the game while Andre and Kevin Boateng are likely to be called-up for the game at the country?s second largest city.
