“Ouattara will tackle all remaining challenges that have made it hard for the Cote d’Ivoire people to reconcile,” he noted.

He said in the month of December, the president will hold talks with the commission in charge of reconciliation and compensation of victims as well as with traditional and religious leaders.

“It is a priority. The objective is to do what is possible to ensure Cote d’Ivoire people live in harmony across the entire national territory,” Kone explained.

Cote d’Ivoire is still attempting to close the painful chapter of the 2010 post-election crisis that left at least 3,000 people dead and created deep divisions between the population. Enditem
