The draw put the two-time champions 3-2 on aggregate to set up a dream final with FC Barcelona at Berlin?s Olympic Stadium on June 6.

Cristiano Ronaldo had given the champions an early lead after scoring from the spot in the 23rd minute, equalling Messi?s 77-goal tally as all-time leading scorer in the UEFA Champions League. That goal also put the FIFA Player of the Year on equal standing with Madrid legend Alfredo Di Stefano as regards club statistics.

But former Galactico Alvaro Morata took advantage of a penalty-area melee to hit his ball on the ground, beating Iker Cassillas in post.

The goal handed the Zebras their first Champions League final in 12 years.

They will meet Barcelona in European final for the first time though they have met eight times already in European competitions.
