The 25-year-old singer married actor Daryl Sabara in December and though people keep asking her when she will be starting a family, she admitted it’s a subject she keeps changing her mind about.
Speaking on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (10.02.19), she told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Everyone’s like, ‘Where’s the baby?’ Whoa!’ You know how long I wanted [a baby]. I’ll call you immediately if it’s a positive sign… [but] we go on and off.
“We’re like, ‘Let’s do it now,’ and then, ‘Let’s wait until tour.’
“No, [we’re not trying anymore]. But we tried for, like, one second, and I was like, ‘Just kidding. Don’t!'”
Instead, the ‘Dear Future Husband’ hitmaker is focusing on her music and is thrilled fans have reacted positively to her new EP, ‘The Love Train’.
She said: “I’m so glad everyone’s loving it and they’re bumping it. They already learned all the words. My fans are crazy, they’re great. They really are.”
Meghan’s change of heart over having a family comes just a month after she claimed she couldn’t wait to get pregnant.
Speaking in January, she said: “If we could do it how we want to, we’d be, like, totally preggo right now!
“We’re ready to rumble. I want some children! I want kids! We’re both so excited for it.”
And the ‘No’ hitmaker revealed she’s even been researching raising a baby and the challenges of motherhood.
She said: “We both constantly watch baby YouTube videos and lessons on YouTube, like ‘How to take care of an infant.’ We’re just getting prepared every single day. But I’m gonna tour this album, then start thinking about doing it.”
