????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

(givemesport.com)Last weekend?s Emirates Cup saw Arsenal succumb to Didier Drogba for the umpteenth time.

Over the years, Arsenal have failed to cope with Drogba; the big Ivorian has netted an astonishing 15 times in as many games against the Gunners (including friendlies).

Even at 35, Drogba?s physicality and finishing ultimately undid Arsenal?s defence.

Arsenal, as we all know, are in the market for a top-class striker to partner Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski.

They?ve recently had bids for Luis Suarez rejected, and continue to be linked with the unsettled Wayne Rooney.

Maybe its time for Arsene Wenger to look elsewhere for a striker as the transfer season passes it?s half-way point.

Eto?o may have lost a yard or two of pace, but at 32, the Anzhi front man still has plenty left in him ? just look at Drogba still terrorising Arsenal at 35.

The similarities between Eto?o and Drogba don?t end at their longevity either. Both are strong, experienced and quick players who can win games for you, and both have a hell of a shot on them.

Eto?o is exactly what Arsenal need; he has the experience needed to bring composure to a relatively young Arsenal team.

Perhaps more importantly, he?s a winner. He twice lifted the Champions League with Barcelona, not to mention winning La Liga three times with the Catalans and the Serie A with Inter Milan.

And Anzhi may just be looking to offload Eto?o, who is their highest paid player, soon.

Billionaire oligarch owner Suleiman Kerimov has made massive financial losses since taking the club over in 2011. At the time, he intended to turn Anzhi into a major European force, but has since suffered various stress-related illnesses.

To make things worse for Kerimov, he recently made considerable losses when the share prices in the potash mining company Uralkali ?for which he is the majority shareholder ? plummeted.

Whilst Kerimov has stated he will not sell the club itself, he has hinted at a huge financial shake up, which could see the clubs highest earners sold off on the cheap. Willian and Yury Zhirkov could also be available at a knockdown price soon.

The stumbling block could be Eto?o’s wages, but If Arsenal can afford Rooney or Suarez?s wages, then they can afford Eto?o?s.

Eto?o is exactly the type of player Arsenal should be looking for; experienced, skilled, strong, a leader and, a winner.
