ICGC fetes patients

The Jesus Temple branch of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) in Koforidua on Christmas Day organised a buffet/lunch for the staff and patients of the Koforidua Regional Hospital.

The overseer of the Jesus Temple, Reverend Dickson Sarpong Tuffour, said the patients would have wished to spend the Christmas Day with their love ones at home but they found themselves in hospital due to circumstances beyond their control.

He said Christmas Day is a day of love and sharing and as part of the social responsibilities of the Church, it decided to organise party for the patients, entertain them to songs, and pray for speedy recovery.

Rev. Tuffour expressed the hope that the event would bring some joy to the patients despite their situation.

He later led some members of his Church to share packed lunch with fruits, soft drink and water to the patients who could not come out of their wards because of their condition.

Dr Kwame Anim Boamah, the Director of the Koforidua Regional Hospital, thanked the Church for the gesture.

He expressed the hope that the gesture would bring some comfort to the patients and serve as a motivation to the staff on duty.
