Suarez: I Will Not Say Sorry

The controversial Uruguayan forward will not say sorry, despite Brendan Rodgers? demands?

Luis Suarez has no plans to apologise to his club or their supporters, despite his manager?s demands, reports The Independent.

After the 26-year-old?s scathing attack on Liverpool, his manager Brendan Rodgers banned him from training with the first-team, promising fans that he would not return until his attitude improves. After Liverpool reiterated that they would not be selling the wantaway forward, Rodgers has publicly given the striker the chance to apologise, which he has seemingly rejected.

Suarez claims to have been promised a transfer away from the club this summer if they failed to qualify for the Champions League. Despite enjoying a brilliant season individually, Liverpool laboured to seventh- regularly failing to win matches when dominating possession.

A reported ?40m plus ?1 transfer clause did not exist however, and Liverpool have rejected Arsenal?s repeated advances, categorically refusing to sell the enigmatic attacker.

As of yet, no European club have made a bid for Suarez, and Liverpool will not sell him to a Premier League rival. In this respect, the two are at a stand still: Suarez is adamant he wants to leave, but no club Liverpool will sell to wants to buy.

The only viable solution, is for the striker and the club to make a temporary pact, allowing the Uruguayan, who scored 30 times for the Reds in all competitions last term, to stay with Liverpool until January at least. For whatever reason, Suarez is refusing to do so, and one of the transfer sagas of the summer looks set to continue. (CAUGHTOFFSIDE)
