The former federal parliamentarian, who apparently was mistaken for the minority leader of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Oladejo Makinde, that died on Sunday afternoon after a brief illness, noted that he has been receiving phone calls from within and outside Nigeria from well-wishers for clarification.

“I want to use this medium to tell Nigerians that I am hale and hearty. I am presently spending time with my family for the festive season. I expressed my appreciation to everyone who has shown serious concern, just to let them know that I dey kampe.

“This is to also commiserate with the family of the late Makinde, who was my kinsman, that the Lord will give them the fortitude to bear the loss. He was one of the pillar’s of the state assembly and sadly, death took him away when his meaningful contribution to the development of our state is needed. We ‘ll surely miss him and his valuable influence,” the statement stated. ‎
