Mr Dogbe Selormey, Regional Director of the Electoral Commission, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency as part of the “GNA Tracks Election 2016” project funded by GOIL, said the voting would be done at two special voting centres.

He said the exercise would take place in a total of 28 special voting centres across the Region adding that the Commission was well prepared for the exercise.

Mr Selormey said the Region received all election materials and was only expecting a supplementary list of names of registered voters who could not find their names on the special voters’ list.

Meanwhile, a host of security personnel and media practitioners who could not find their names on special voters’ list expressed worry about the omission of their names.

A Police Officer whose name was not on the list told the Ghana News Agency that he would arrange with his superiors to be posted to the polling station where his vote was, so he could vote on Election Day.

Early voting is a special arrangement by the EC to offer opportunity to security officials, journalists and some electorates with special duties on Election Day to cast their votes ahead of the Election Day, December 7.
